Top 10 'Think Outside the Box' Wedding Ideas

Here at bride and Groove one of the things we have found when compiling a couple's perfect playlist, is that to get people up (and keep them dancing) you need to mix things up a little.

Throwing the audience a curveball every now and again is what keeps people interested, and most importantly, leaves them with great memories of your special day and night. Here's a few 'think outside the box' wedding tips to help you stay original and shake things up on your big day. WARNING! they're not for everyone but they sure made us SMILE!

1. Rings flown in by owl (eat your heart out Harry Potter fans)

Thats right guys and gals! you read right! On your special day you can do 'Ron and Hermione' impressions and have an owl swoop down the aisle to the arm of your groom or best man, bearing your rings. The guys at Talon Falconry will provide Ollie the owl for the day for £300. for more information visit www.talon-falconry.co.uk

2. Weddington boots

Planning a winter wedding? Then this random rubber revelation might be a must! The Walking Wedding (a wedding where you and your guests partake in a little midday stroll) is becoming ever more popular amongst the countryphiles. How better to do it than in a pair of your own 'suprisingly inexpensive' WEDDINGTON BOOTS.

Available from www.weddingtonboots.co.uk these retail at mere £39.95. Thats cheaper than 'hunters' by a long shot!

3. Tank limo

Is your cousins neon lit, pimped out Corsa not quite flashy enough for your grand entrance? Well how about turning up to the gates (blowing them up and driving through the side wall of the church) with the help of TANKLIMO.COM

4. Wedding cake dress

Trying to find ways of cutting costs on your big day? Kill two bird with one stone with this awesome creation!

5. Lego cufflinks

Has she got the last say on everything to do with your big day outfit? today she's wearing a dress... so you can wear the trousers! Sneak these onto your wrists and unleash the child within!

6. Confetti alternative

So the idea is.. On your grand exit from your reception venue, instead of people throwing confetti, all your guests are given plastic toy guns and they make a racket as you dive for cover behind the Vicar!

7. scratch card wedding invites

What a great way to invite your guest to your Wedding... (or alternatively DON'T INVITE, HA!)

8. zero g wedding

Pushing matrimonial boundaries by tying the knot in the vomit comet (as its more commonly known) is probably the wackiest addition to our top ten! This is so far 'outside the box' its touching the stratosphere!

9. Vinyl Cup / Wedding Cake stand

...and to keep it tied in with what we do, how could we not get excited over a vinyl cup cake stand! I mean what more could you want! I was so impressed by this i ordered one straight away.. actually, I'm eating cup cakes as we speak and getting crumbs all over the turntables!
